I would start with a fuel pressure/leakdown test. Make sure the battery has good contact, check plug wires, etc. ,could also be the tps.

That's the throttle position sensor, I would still start with a fuel pressure test. There's a good write up in the diy section.

i'd bet money your control module crapped out.there are many possibilities for this symptom.Possibly your timing chain has broken. You could have a blocked fuel filter and the list goes on and on.Try spraying starting fluid into the air intake while cranking it, if it fires it would take the broken timing chain and ignition system issues partially out of the way.It maybe the fuel pump has failed you would remove the supply line to your Throttle body or fuel injectors and run the line into an empty bottle as soon as you turn the switch on you should see an stream of fuel coming into the bottle.Buy a Haynes manual(Autozone $25.00) if you want to make these repairs yourself. You'll gain some practical automotive knowledge and save yourself some serious green!!!

IMO, I can't recall ever seeing a broken timing chain in a 4.3. The haynes and chilton manuals are ok but you can create an account at autozone.com and get free repair guides.

Check the spark at the plug wires. if it is anything other then a strong blue try changing the cap and rotor button. an easy way to check the timing chain is to remove the distrib. cap and have some one crank the engine. If the rotor button turns the chain is good. I'm not sure how to link it but there is a thread flowchart here somewhere to try and determine the cause of the problems.
