Default 99 throttle body plug issues

I have had a problem with the secondary air pump since I built the truck last year so I decided to check all the wiring. I guess while looking around I bumped the throttle body electrical plug and she wouldnt start after that. I figured out the plug wasnt seated fully so I pushed it as far as i could but the trucks not running right. trucks stinking like raw fuel and running rough. Long story short any thoughts on how to get the plug to seat properly because Im close to breaking it and dont want that. thanks in advance

I would check to make sure the male parts of the pin is straight. If any of those are bent they will not go into the female connector and will do what you are describing.

I pullee the plug and checked the pins. They all seem straight but i found something im not sure about. It has two seals on it, one orange and one blue. The blue one looks new but the orange one seems old and has a tear 3/4 the way through. Im guessing someone put on the blue one and left the old one thinking they were double protected. I got it to clip on one side but not the other side so im want to take off the torn orange seal. Any thoughts?
