Default Adding tranny fluid

I have an '89 1500. I was driving and the governor cap came off. Lost it and a lot of fluid. I found a cap at a pick and pull. How do I add fluid?

Passenger side, rear of the engine, near the firewall, there is a dipstick. With the vehicle on a level surface, at operating temperature, transmission in park or neutral, add DexronVI fluid into the tube until the level reads to the "max" line on the dipstick.

Default Another ?

I lost oil pressure when it happened. It's barely touching the stick. The tranny stick says full even when it's cold. Alot of fluid came out from where the cap came off? Ever heard or seen this?
