can your alternater drain your battery??

 

Yes it can. you'll need a way to measure the drain. Bought a Craftsman Inductive DC 400 amp tester for $60, works great. start to pull connectors at the Alternator (4 wire connector and Batt wire), then move to fuses, mains first and small one last. this should isolate the circuit involved. once you find the circuit find a wiring diagram for it and check items on that circuit.
