Was driving when she backfired three times and quit running. no sign of any problems before hand. I have replaced coil and coil module. Will not start with shot of starting fluid.. I have strong spark at the distributor. It is 2000 ZR2 with 4.3L. I am sole owner and she never gave me any warning. Any ideas?? Thanx

 

Backfiring and then quitting is not a good thing... Last engine I had this happen to me with had jumped timing due to a bad timing chain.
