My 84 k10 runs great.. until it warms up or i drive it for longer than 15-20 min. It back fires and will not allow me to drive over 30mph. If i try to give it gas, it pops out the carb and tail pipe and sputters and jerks and will not accelerate over 30mph .. I thought vapor lock was the issue, then i thought filters.. I am on my knees begging for help on this one!!! its driving me nuts!! Any body out there seen this befor??

Yes,I tried a tune up..... and I think the cat might be bad because I heard some rattling around under there. And when I stooped down to listen, it sounded like a rock was bouncing around in my cat.. That could make the truck act like that though??

 

yep. bang it with a rubber mallot if you hear stuff bouncing around in there it's bad, i's clogged up not allowing exhaust to go through
