Default better mpg...

Alright, I'm looking to get better mpg as the title suggests. I have an 01 Blazer ZR2. I know it gets worse gas mileage since it's lifted those 3 inches, but my 11mpg is just killing me. Any suggestions on how to increase that without killing my wallet? Everything is completely stock.

I'd love to get more out of the engine as well (who wouldn't?). But without sacrificing gas mileage, if possible.

Any more info you need just ask. Thanks in advance.

When was the last time you did a tune up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor)? Cleaned the EGR valve? Cleaned the MAF sensor? How many miles are on it?

I haven't done much of anything yet aside from normal maintenance (brakes, oil, coolant, air filter). It has about 44,000 on it.

i dont know how much you're willing to spend but before i did anything to much truck i got between 11 and 13 miles/gallon. after getting a new exhaust with a high flow cat and adding a cold air intake, i am up to about 14 to 16 miles/gallon depending on how i drive. intake/exhaust makes the car sound much louder (and a little more powerful)so when i first got it i was a little more aggressive and mileage stayed the same but after a week or two, my mileage started to improve. you could also geta regular K&N panel filter which should help just a little.

also everything kyle said ^^ that will also help too

EDIT: dont fall for any of the supercheap gas mileage enhancers on ebay. if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is

As I'm fairly poor, not much, haha. But simple stuff like cleaning, replacing filters and stuff like that I can do. Eventually I'll save some money to do a lot more, but currently I just wanna know what I can do for cheap. I'll definately look into getting a new air filter.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't think I'd trust ebay for anything car related unless I knew the product completely.
