Default Blazer starts with carb cleaner but won't start on it own

Ok guys I'm new to the site. And new to the blazers I have two of them now. Both almost the same problem.. mine is a 98 ls it cranks but won't start unless I hit it with carb cleaner. Then at that time it runs fine and I can drive it. But as soon as I shut it off won't start again. Have to prime it everytime. My wife's is a 99 it won't start either carb cleaner will get it to start but won't stay running. The fuel pump comes on I have pressure at Schaeder valve... I know it has to be something I'm over looking. Thanks for the help in advance.

Fuel issue, search the site for fuel pressure and leak down test and report back with your numbers and we can help you more.

The fuel pump on the 98 comes on when you turn the key to run?

The fuel pump does come on. Today it won't stay running like it did last night. Guess I'm going to send it the the Chevy house to have it diagnosed. And I'll repair from there.

either pump or spider. need to make adapter to hook to fuel pump. if its low there its your pump, if its 60-65 its your spider

Default Idea!

Ive seen this on other vehicle were you can get it to run but when you turn it off it wont start again unless you prime it what it could be is the engine temperature sensor sometimes if they are faulty it will say the engines overheating even though it was not on and i do know that most will therefore shut off the fuel to the engine until it cools down but that will never happen Unless it runs.

Just my 2 Cents
