Default Blazer + Suburban?

So i've been looking to start working on my blazer, been doing a lot of research for off road conversions and axel swaps etc...and then i found a Suburban that i could get my hands on for free. 90k on the engine but the body has a lot of rust. Would it be possible to fit the suburban engine in the blazer (along with the tranny and drive train) with a lot of elbow grease, or would that fall under the impossible catagory?

I believe that 2000 was when GM switched over to the LS based engines. If that is the case and your 'burb has the 5.3L engine in it, it is not impossible, but is more difficult than the SCFI 5.7L engine. You will need a custom wiring harness for the 5.3L engine and then your PCM will have to be reprogrammed to work well with it. That is besides the other "fun" aspects of a v8 swap into the s-series platform.

I'm fairly certain that the Tahoes/Jimmys/'burbans didn't get the 5.3L until after 2000. For some reason GM held off a few years before changing over to the new style a few years after they did with the trucks.
