Can't seem to remove the rear driveshaft on my 99 4wd. i have the 4 bolts and 2 bands off, but it's not budging. Any ideas?

I had to beat on mine "carefully" when I changed the U-Joints on my '05 Silverado. She sees mud almost daily and has almost 120,000 miles so condition might be similar to yours...LOL.
The drive shaft isn't in a bind against the gears is it?

No, I don't think so. The jackstands are currently under the axle. Are they supposed to be on the frame (unloaded suspension).

You do not have to unload the suspension. Quite often the cups on the u-joint stick in the yoke on the front of the differential.
When I replaced the u-joints on my old 2000 Bravada, I had to put my long pry bar between the differential yoke and the u-joint, then smack it with a hammer to jar it loose.
