Finally doing myself. How many qts does the 2002 with 4.3 take?

I believe that the manual says between 4.5-5, but she will take all 5... lol

I use 4 1/2 quarts, and it fills to the full mark on my dipstick.
every Vortec 4.3 generally uses that amount. I think even the new one in the full size trucks.

The 4.2 in the Trailblazers do, too.
The vehicle I have seen so far that takes the most oil is the newer Super Duty with the Powerstroke. 15 quarts!
