Changing Transmission Shift Points

is it possible to change the transmission shift points? ive heard about people doing it to other vehicles and i was wondering if i could do it in my jimmy

If I remember right, the Hypertech Power Programmer III can do it for you...

Be warned, though, if you use the engine tuning that they have, you're going to have to run premium fuel...

The hypertech has a 87 octane formula as well, but I had to run 89 with their programming in my Bravada. I did keep the programmer and reset it to factory before I traded it in.
Other than a programmer like that, they can be changed with a custom tune as well, but this will require sending your PCM to be programmed, but gains can be higher than the handheld programmers.

According to the website, the programmer for his year, doesn't have the dual octane settings...

I bought mine, mainly because I knew I was going to bigger tires (smaller for winter, lol) The engine tuning is just a benefit (and yeah, it runs a lot farther on a tank of gas on mid-grade, than regular... though the current tank I have, I'm at 300km, and 1/4 tank...)

I'm 95% sure that you can change the shift points, without adjusting the engine performance, but you might want to shoot them an email just to make sure, and take a look around ebay for that model...
