Default ckp NEED HELP

Hello.I have a 99 blazer with 4.3 vortec and 4x4. I was have some leaking oil at timeing cover. We replaced it and let tell you it was a @#$% to say least.Went to start and fired right up np, 40 to 50 seconds later it would die. Pulled out scan tool and got code p0336 ckp sensor, wich is mounted on timeing cover, it was switched over from old cover. went and got new one installed and know it wont start still same code.I am lost. CAN ANYONE HELP!!!

The CKP only really comes into play when the vehicle is starting....I would test the new CKP to see if it's bad (I have gotten faulty sensors from store before)

Also I don't know if they are adjustable or not, I worked on a car that you could adjust it, possible too far away to pick up data? metal shavings collected on it from moving stuff around?

Thanks for advise cleaned old one and installed and started, but went around the block and it was shutting down again. The one I but from autozone looks a bit different has plastic around magnet, so gonna buy one from dealer hope it works. thanks.

well I think she is done went dealer bought an ac delco ckp sensor for 110 dollars poped it in and wall la fired right up been ruunen all day. happy as can be. never ran it this before but dealer parts came through for frist time thanks gm
