converter won't lock
I changed my tranny filter a month or so ago, now my converter won't lock....it didn't eversince I did the filter. I had a heck of time removing the pan, could I have nocked a wire loose or broke the control solinoid or something?
Thanks in advance,
Paul

It is very possible... What are you driving?
For the 4L60E, the TCC and TCC PWM solenoids are located towards the passenger side front of the valve body.

Make sure that your brake lights are not stuck on, the converter will not lock up with the brake light circuit activated. But yea, by what you are describing, maybe you pulled or pinched a wire.

Ok I took the pan back off and found one of the front solinoids was indeed broken, now replaced. Truck still wont go into lock-up on it's own. Now with a gm tech2 scan tool hooked to it I can force it into lock-up but I get a fault from the 2-3 solinoid. Actually it keeps flashing from fault to ok. All shifts and down shifts seem to be working properly other wise.
