I don't know what filter to get, does anyone know if my truck has deep or shallow pan, plus i never changed out o2 sensor on it truck running sluggish as am sure high mileage causes that, and i planning on doing that, is there more then one sensor if so where would they be located at. Last 2 question i believe i have a short somewhere am not to knowledge in that department my volt meter moves when my blinker is on or radio is on??? Plus i have a ticking sound coming from my dashboard sounds like its near the glove box, but it stops when i turn the car off? Thanks for any advice just seems to me as mile age goes past 200,000 little things have started to happen at once, cars mine and paid off want to run it till i can any more, i have keeped up with maintance best i could all this years. Not all trans flushes are bad.I read up on this subject thuroughly. There flush in which the pan is lowered, the filter is removed and the flush removes out 100% of the debris and all the bad fluid.

As for pan dont pin me to this but I believe only the ZR2 extremes have the deep pan.

As for 02 sensors you either have 4 or 5 of them and they are welded in or the heat and rust will make them very difficult to remove unless you have a torch set.

1 other thing you can do is change your fuel filter unfortunately thats not very easy either.

Run a can of seafoam through your gas tank.

I did a ton of research also...and still one done anyway As far as I am concerned you are playing Russian Roulette when it comes to tranny flushes...except there are 3 bullets in the gun instead of 1.

Concerning your O2 sensors, if you don't have a scan tool, go to an auto parts store, as many of them will do a scan for you. They should be able to tell you which one(s) are bad (i.e. "Bank 1, Sensor 3")...which happens to be rear of the catalytic converter in the exhaust pipe for my Blazer.

Your voltmeter could be a bad ground.

There are two basic types of trans flushing machines, one that uses the pressure from the transmission itself and one that supplies its own pressure. I would not be concerned with the former, but would be uneasy of the second.

As long as the flush gets out all the fiuld out of the converter, front pump, radiator and out the bottom of the trans its good.Unfortunately this flushing proceder is not comon in most shops that have the equipment and are certified to do so.

Any flush that doesnt do this is a waste of time and $
