Crank no start
I was gifted a 2000 blazer zr2 and it's in bad shape my first of many problems is a crank no start. I don't think it's the fuel pump cuz I can hear it come on and I heard its a common issue for the distributor caps to get moisture in them and go bad should I start here?

If you'd like to throw parts at it then yes start with the distributor cap but use AC Delco cap and rotor as they seem to work the best in these trucks. Also applies to my 97 Suburban.
I would get a fuel pump tester from the auto parts store and check the fuel pressure after I confirmed I had spark by puling a wire and testing. There are several threads on the forum.

Agree with the pressure test. The pump can run but enough pressure. I believe you need a minimum of 52 psi to open poppets on injectors. Could be a leaking spider Which could also be the problem that a pressure test will tell you. start here

I'm 100% sure it has no spark starting fluid won't even do the job and it came with a free one so no harm in doing it anyway
