Ok well guys..my mom borrowed the truck last week to go visit my cousins in Upstate New York..and the trucks been hesitating lately but not so much..so half way up there the truck couldn't go above 30 and it kept hesitating and it kept back firing...my mom called me up explaining what had happened and she said she could smell rubber burning from the truck so now it's upstate and I can't look at what's wrong with it due to me lacking in school and I have to make up as much work as possible

 

If the transmission has quit or is experiencing serious problems, check the transmission fluid both the level and if it smells burnt. The look and smell of burnt indicades a transmission that has called it quits.

A failed torque converter can make the truck act like the way you were describing. My last car the torque converter fail and when it acted up it would buck the whole car and it generally felt like the transmission was going to fall off the car.

 

When it gets back infront of my house I'll check the fluids
