Default EGR valve question.

Okay, I had the p1406 code pop up today and haven't gotten a chance to look at my EGR valve to see if its clogged with carbon or what. But if I were to pour seafoam in the normal way would that clean out the EGR valve as well? Or will I have to do that manually?

Doubtful on the seafoam cleaning the chunk of carbon out of the EGR valve. Best to just pull it and clean it properly then reinstall it with a screened gasket.
