Default engine code

Just bought an 88 K5 and I am trying to find out how to decipher the engine stamp. There are two stamps on the motor. One is VO408PHD. The other is CJF165808. I think I have everything figured out except for the PHD on the first code. Any ideas?

How to decode Chevy Engine Codes

it decodes the suffix codes of the engine. i couldnt find phd on that list though. the suffix codes are located on the front part of the engine in front of the passenger side head
