Default Engine revving high and shifting rough

I have a 1995 4WD Blazer, it's an automatic transmission (but the 4WD is manual). To give a brief background, after changing the water pump, it was running hot. We replaced every component of the cooling system and found out later that it needed "burped". Before it was burped, the engine seemed to be running high in gear and shifting rough in the lower gears. The cooling system is now running great, but the revving high in gear and shifting rough in the first few gears is still happening. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Have you checked the tranny fluid? The first things I would do is check the fluid and then look for any vaccum leaks. If the fluid is ok and there are no vaccum leaks then your tranny may be slipping.
