Default engine stalled tried cranking then thunk

So I'm driving down the road last night everything was running fine. No knocks taps or anything. Then she stalled out like it ran out of gas. I just put gas in her earlier. As I'm coasting i put it in neutral and tried cranking her. It would just crank over like it was out of gas. The moment i parked i would turn the key and she just went thunk. Like a seized engine. Turn the key and just thunk with all the lights dimming all the way. Now try starting her and the starter just grinds. I read somewhere that the FPR could of filled a piston up with gas. i had to get picked up and have no way to her at the moment (I'm at work) just trying to narrow some things down so i know where to start. Thanks

Really that happened to you also? From what i read i am lucky the engine want running anymore when the lock up happened. She stalled out from either lack of fuel pressure or choking on too much fuel. It didn't go thunk till the third time i tried starting her. It would just crank over real smooth like normal and not fire like she was out if gas. Then i got the dreaded thunk. When i popped the hood it smelled strong of gasoline. Which made me tell my buddy next to me "fuel pumps working" .. Sooooo this makes sense. I'll pull the plugs tonight and see what happens.. Then start working on the spider. Can't afford a new one so looks like I'm getting the rebuild kit. Arrg
