Engine stalls
#1
On my blazer i have problems with it stalling or almost stalling when i turn the heater on the engine will almost stall and all my lights will dim, And once or twice while turning after a stop light i stalled.
I did the plugs all but 2 the last two on the driver side, Can that really make a difference?
I also have a small gas leak behind the driver wheel where the two nuts come together buts it a very small leak, And the truck sputters when first started up while cold and i have to give it gas to idle semi normal and some times when i give it gas to get it to idle correct the engine will bog down at little gas peddle movement.
And also like i have said in recent post my tranny is going bad can this cause the engine to stall while turning?
Any thoughts would be awesome

Test your voltage while this happens. It is quite possible that your alternator is not putting out what it should and causes a drop in system voltage when you turn on your fan.
I would not think that only changing 4 of 6 plugs would cause this problem, but I also would not recommend only doing 2/3rds of a job...

Well i took the MAP sensor plug off and it starts normal but when trying to drive while unplugged it was horrible jumping and surging and bucking, So some time tomorrow i will buy some brake cleaner and try that out and see how it goes,
And does anyone know what all can cause an engine to sputter at start up?
BTW i just looked up the EGR valve its 211.00 bucks that's crazy.

Aww FFS i cleaned the MAP sensor about 20 minutes ago and it still stutters at start up and the rpms go down when stopping at stop signs and almost stalls. What else could be wrong i am completely lost and cant afford to have a shop look at being they all want money to check it out

According to Dr. chilton manual
"Engine lopes while idling or idles erratically"
1. Vacuum leakage. Check the mounting bolts/nuts at the throttle body and intake manifold for tightness. Make sure all vacuum hoses are connected and in good condition Use a stethoscope or a length of fuel hose held against your ear to listen for vacuum leaks while the engine is running. A hissing sound will be heard. A soapy water solution will also detect leaks
2. Fault in the fuel or electrical systems
3. Plugged PCV valve or hose
4. Air filter clogged
5. Fuel pump not delivering sufficent fuel to the fuel injectors
6. Leaking head gasket. Preform compression check
7. Camshaft lobes worn

......to quote you, "I also have a small gas leak behind the driver wheel where the two nuts come together"
That in itself needs to be addressed before really starting to isolate other problems.
