engine swap time

Default engine swap time

hey guys just wondering finishing up putting a used engine that came out of a 2000 s-10 into a 2000 blazer i already swapped the oil pump and pan around and installing it into the blazer was wondering if there any thing else to swap or do before i try cranking it over.
both engines are 2000 4.3 litre

Did you replace the rear engine seal while the pan was off. I plan to do that and be proactive and replace the intake manifold gaskets too. Had to do that to my 2002 Blazer .

I will be swapping a 98 4WD Blazer 4.3 into a 98 S10 2WD. I am going with a new oil pump and pick up since the old one has 524K miles on it plus I drove it until the crank case/oil pan opened up trying to get to the house and make it but left oil the last 100 feet.

Not sure I can not use the 4WD oil pan set up but I have not measured road clearance or read where it was OK.

yeah i would replace all the gaskets you can think of. lots easier when the engine is out.

but WOW Gale 524K miles?!?!

gale my engine i swapped in was from a 2000 s-10 pickup 2wd the oil pan set up for the pump pickup was diffrent from my 4wd so i just swapped pans and pump thought i would let you know good luck

thanks guys i did replace all of the seals
