I have a 2002 4WD 4 door crew cab s10 with the 4.3 litre engine package. I have access to a 2003 chevy blazer 4wd with a blown engine.

I s it possible to simply switch teh running gear from teh o2 s10 crew cab 4WD to teh 03 model.. are there any major problems or differences to consider.

I was told the 2002 engines (4.3 litre vortecs) used teh coil packs and teh 2003 4.3 lite Vortec had some kin d of different fuel setup. Im a carburetor guy...so I really need to know before I sink teh money in the 2003 4WD Blazer thats in excellent shape minus teh engine of course.

Does the all teh stuff that will make teh swap impossible or do you mean that neither vehicle has anyone of those and teh swap wil be possible. The reply is kind of confusing

it sounds one way like you are saying it wont work because teh 92 hasa throttle body and coil packs BUT in another way it sounds like you are saying NEITHER has coil packs throttle body so it will work... im more confused no than when I asked

I cannot find any documentation anywhere tha tells me any difference between an o2 and an 03

Neither has coil packs, the swap should work. Swap the pcm also

 

Just curious why you want to part out an 02 Crew Cab to save an 03 Blazer? I have one each of them both 02. Love the CC. The Blazer's a piece of junk. Both have the same mileage, roughly 140K. CC is much smoother riding, more stable, much quieter. Not to mention you can carry a refrigerator in the CC and 20' lumber if I open the sliding window. If I opened the window in the Blazer to do that the CO would gag me.

To answer your first question. Swap away, except for the driveshaft, the drivetrain is identical. I'd only swap PCM's if there was an issue using the one already in the Blazer, which is the later one. You're better off keeping ALL the wiring intact as much as possible. But there are opinions on both sides of this subject and both can make valid points for doing it their way.
Since you are a carb guy be prepared for the difference 30+ years has made in engine compartments. You need mucho patience and diligence to work on this new fangled stuff.
Tag and bag everything. Buy 100 sandwich bags and 2 new sharpies. One black one silver. It's not like the old days when you just threw the extra parts in the leftovers bucket.
If you decide to go ahead with this, ask on here about what things would be easiest to replace while the engine is out. Spark plugs for example. I can give you a long list.

I approve of your direction egeekiel. Your swap should be all plug and play. Both engines have the old school coil and a distributor. Coil packs are wired directly to the spark plugs on distributor less engines. If the 03 blazer's transfer case has a different button setup keep the blazers. To add to oldeerslayer's great label everything tip, take some pics before tear down.
