Default Engine won't start

So I was driving my truck for about ten mins, than all of a sudden I stop at a stop sign, go to take off and truck dies. Starts back up runs ruff but dies when you put it in drive and it sputters out.My fuel pump works, so I changed fuel filter, nothing won't even start now. Mass air is ok and so is pcv. Any ideas

What year is it? Did you do a fuel pressure test?

It's a 2000 4.3 if the pressure isn't high enough how do I fix that. And if its fine, back to the drawing broad

The fuel pressure should be between 60 and 65 and not go below 55 for 10 minutes. ( with the key on and engine off!) If it fails the pressure and leakdown test there is a problem in the fuel sytem (pump, leaking injectors or leaking fuel pressure regulator) if it passes then the next step is to diagnose the ignition system. Post back the fuel test results.

If your fuel pressure is fine i would check the coil afterwards.

Ok guys, sorry for the long wait. All your answers steered me in the right direction. Sorry didn't have a pressure gauge so I did a little how far she squirts to the hood lol. Well primed 3 times, she shot to the hood, well almost. Noticed the distributor was loose. Changed the cap and rotor, runs great now! Again thank you guys
