I don't know how prices are up in Connecticut but I would expect to pay $1800 to $2300 out the door for a totally rebuilt and updated 4L60E on a 4x4. They should also give you a minimum 12 month / 12000 mile warranty as well. Some shops require you to replace the radiator for the warranty to be honored.

Holy crap, yea I might as well give the damn thing up I can't afford that. I'm gonna have to figure something out or just donate/junk the truck. It's in perfect condition but that tranny. Phew way to much for me tho. Half my check well most of it goes to my Charger every month.

Alrighty guys, well I talked to a friend of mine and I am gonna be removing my transmission pan to check to see if I got any metal shards and how the fluid looks, and may replace the filter while I am at it. Unless of course I do find metal then I will be getting a new tranny well used and be doing the swap I have finally grown the cahones to do it so I will update asap!

Thanks for all your help guys

alright, well the transmission is in, and I found out some other issues, the rear main seal was shot, and the rear ujoint is shot, also there was no tranny cooler so I had them install an aftermarket cooler.

Also could anyone tell me why would anyone cut the AC lines, I need to fix that as well and I am trying to figure out why in the hell would anyone cut the lines to the AC amongst other things.

I bought this truck for 400 bucks and it cost me $1350.54 to get it driveable next is a windshield and it's done. Then a lovely pops a dent kit will be in order to get all the dents out along with a paint job.

Frustration? No telling why people do stupid things... You will have to go through the whole system before charging it back up to make sure that you are not just going to have other problems.
