For a CPI motor, 55-60psi is the required pressure for the poppet nozzles to actuate (as provided by the FSM for a 95 Blazer CPI).

Ok I checked my fuel pressure today. When accerlerating my gauge bounces between 40 and 60 psi very rapidly. Idling its fluctuating between 50 and 54 psi. When I put the fuel pump in i just used a piece of fuel line to connect the pump to the sending unit. should I install the Damper or pulsator.

What problems are you having that you are attributing to fuel supply? Related to your other thread??

This is a good example of why things should be kept in one thread so that these types of questions do not have to get asked...

The fluctuation in pressure is normal. For it to drop all the way to 40psi while accelerating is a bit troubling.

When was the last time you replaced your fuel filter?

Just changed fuel filter last week with no change. I just ordered the pulsator today from napa. I will install it this weekend. Maybe I got a fuel pressure regulator issue? I did put a new one in when I installed the engine. Thanks for your help!!!
