Ima be tackling a Fuel Pressure Regulator in my wifes 2000 TrailBlazer this weekend with a 4.3 v6 and I'm scrambling for some tech pics or some help with the install. I know its inside the intake manifold and ima have to take the throttle body off to get to it. Are there any step by steps out there anyone can send me. Thanks! -Steve

let me ask this.. where is the fuel pressure regulator on this truck? is it under the throttle body? or do i have to go into the intake manifold to get to it? any help would be appreciated. i havnt found a thread on here that has been helpful enough

Patience.

A good repair manual would answer all your questions.

As far as the location of the FPR goes, it is located on the back of the fuel metering body which is located inside the intake manifold just behind the throttle body.

What makes you think you have to replace the FPR? Have you completed the Fuel Pressure diagnosis per the instructions found in the Tech Article (DIY) section?

thanks, yeah I took it to a local shop and the shop did a test and they said that the FPR more then likely had a leak around the o ring, causing the truck to have starting problems. it takes around 4 seconds from the initial turn of the key to get the truck to start. then you can hear some small back fire from the exhaust pipe. looking at the same problems people had on here. i thought this would be a good call to try and replace this.
