I have a 96 blazer 4 wheel drive, automatic trans. when i start it, the truck wont reverse and when i put it in drive it wont go over 25. I hear about the sunshell on the forums being a problem in many of the blazers, could that be it? or maybe the electronics?

i need the truck for work because i just turned 18 any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

knew a guy that had a blazer that wouldn't go in reverse. he had to rebuild the transmission

 

That's the same thing that happened to my mom's Bravada. This could be your sungear went out. But when it comes to fixing this, the whole tranny has to be taken apart, and since that is being done, a tranny rebuild is HIGHLY recommended. So it can be pricey.
