Default Fuel pump 2 / 3 outlets

Hi,

It has been a while but the Blazer in Holland is getting there!

I have now a question about my fuel pump. In that region it quite smells so I am guessing my pump is leaking internally (no spills visible). I want to replace it with another pump that I have, but there is a difference. Currently my pump has 3 outlets, so including return line. The other pump only has 2. Can I just use that 2 line pump without making any adjustments or is this going to give any problems?

Btw, it is a 350 engine.

BR

Alain

If you want to replace it, I would stick to the 3 line pump. The 3 lines are outlet, inlet and vent and all are important. Is there any loss of pressure or are you wanting to replace your fuel pump based solely on smell? If all else is fine, you may just want to leave it if there is not any obvious leakage.

Thanks for the answer. I yesterday found out that it is probably not the pump but a small leak in the line near the tank, so I need to replace the lines. Apparently fuel smell carries a long way
