I had the same problem. I went thru two fuel pumps one only lasted two days. I found out that the factory plug that goes into the pump assembly tends to get loose or have burned out plug ends ( due to the small connections). I bought a new drop in assembly which included the sender unit and new installed fuel pump also came with a new "improved" connector pigtail which you have to cut your's off and wire in the new plug end on it. I got it at Autozone near my house was kinda pricey $310 (bout $270 for the 4dr model), but never had a problem since the name of the manufacture was "AIRTEX". Hope this helps you out!

Yup, gotta replace that pigtail. Smash the connector full of dielectric grease, and you should be good to go. I went with Airtek as well.

Unfortunately, you're prolly gonna get hosed on this one. The pigtail has a different style connector than what is on the adapter in the original pump assembly. You will probably need to buy an entirely new pump assembly in order to change the connector. Its stupid, but that's how they get you to buy their parts.

However, the change in the connector was part of a TSB in the early 00's I believe. So you may want to check with the boneyards to see what they have for fuel pumps. Then you could get a perfectly good fuel pump with new pigtails, b/c many blazers have been dumped during cash 4 clunkers. A majority of them prolly have replacement pumps (with new connectors and pigtails)in them b/c the original pumps were garbage and needed to be replaced.

If you don't want to do that, and can wait a couple of days for shipping, order a new pump from rock auto. It's like $220 compared to the $300+ you'll pay @ autozone. Don't go to Pep Boys - THEY SUCK!

make sure you change the fuel filter.. if it is clogged, you will burn out your pump.
