Default Fuel washing drivers side 97 CSFI

Pulled my intake plenum and the driver's side runners are shiny, especially #3.

What would be leaking to cause this?

The fuel lines all look the same, caked in wet gunk. Pulled spider and I don't see any cracked lines, but I need to look at it in daylight to be sure.

I'm going to junkyard on saturday, anyway, so I guess I'll just get another CSFI spider (or MFI if I can find one..)

Original problem was occasional no-start and seemingly rich/flooded engine after startup. Also found broken PCV hose.

Thumbs up Upgrade version.

96-03 GM Updated Fuel Injector SPIDER Astro Blazer 4.3 SEFI | eBay

While we got it at Amazon for $180 (less gasket kit) we just put this in our 98. So far so good.

wtf? The MFI upgrade kit costs less than that from GM.

p/n pk19210688 (19210688 is missing something, not sure what). I have the gaskets pictured in the full kit from previous lower intake gasket R&R, and I don't think the "bracket" is needed for the upgrade.

pk19210688 (FULL KIT)
19210688 (MFI only???)

Anyway, I was hoping for insight into the real problem. An O-ring/seal somewhere? I found a bunch of threads mentioning the nut kit leaking on CPI motors; and a few threads where kyle mentions replacing his CSFI injector o-rings...

more helpful than ebay link:

This is not my DD, so I prefer not to throw $250 away if I can fix it for $20.
