gm cpi conversion
its well worth doing, i have done it to all three of my trucks. Just dont by the bracket they claim is different for the mpfi style, because its not i have done them on mine and all my friends and have never needed it yet.
Some brackets have in fact been different, not having the same clearance built into them than the newer style which can cause the injector lines/wires to rub against the bracket. The only ones I have replaced the bracket on were the 96-97 engines. These are the only ones I have found to be different.
If you were able to ensure proper clearance between the lines and the bracket, then it shouldn't be a problem, but if things move around, you could end up with a very nasty leak inside the plenum.

Hmm guess i got lucky then i just did my 96 last week used the same bracket as well as my 97 bravada back in 07. Sorry for the slight misinformation on that subject. my 98 jimmy i did last summer that was the only one that looked a little different guess i know why now the bracket was changed after 97.... learn something new everyday i tell ya
