Default Hard to shift through gears...

Okay, My mother has a 2001 Olds Bravada, and she had the transmission rebuilt a few months ago after the sungear detonated. Well, I took it for a spin today, and when I put it in drive, the shifter was hard to move, it felt heavy. Almost like something is too tight. Does anybody know why this happened? I've been told it's been like that since the rebuild.

I wonder if they kinked the cable. You could try disconnecting it from the transmission and see if the problem persists. If it gets easier to move, then there could be a problem inside the transmission.

Inside the tranny? I hope not.
I'll have to check that out.
