2002 Chevy blazer ls 2dr 4x4. 4.3 v6. Which solenoids do I need for the tranny? If I put in drive it takes off very very slow like in 3rd or 4th gear. If I put it down in first it will go but I’m pretty sure it still starts in second. Anyway I put in first go down road move to second don’t feel a shift then I move to third and I feel it shift. Then I move to drive and it shifts and also will go into OD fine. Now will going down the highway I can push gas down and feel it down shift to 3rd. If I pull up to stop sign and leave in drive it still wants to take off very slow like in 3rd.

Is there 4 solenoids in tranny?

Or should I just buy the shift solenoids A and B along with new filter and gasket?

Sounds like you lost power to transmission. Check fuses first. Is check engine light on? If it is you will need to have it scanned. If you continue to drive it will definitely destroy it.

No engine light and I checked the fuse and it’s good.

The only fuse I know of is the one under hood.

Are all the PRNDL lights working in dash? If they are you might try a 3-2 coast down solenoid. It will fail sometimes and give these symptoms without a CEL. Good luck.Have to shift manually?-4ce21086-26bb-4003-a9c8-d767c14e93d0.jpeg

Yes the lights do work. Now what about it not going into first? Do I need to do A&B shift solenoids? I only wanna do this once. That’s why I ask how many are in there and should I just do all 4 or 5 at once

Definitely more than I thought would be in there

I’m gonna pick it up today. I just wanted to be sure If should or should not go ahead and do any other solenoids while in there? Awesome pic thank u very much!!

Also my shifter is on floor

What does the fluid smell like and color of it? Could get both shift solenoids. If it is high mileage I might save the old fluid just Incase you have a bunch of debris in the pan. I won’t put new fluid in one if it is burnt or full of debris. Your results may differ, just my experience. Good luck. Without proper diagnosis you might have to do it more than once. Just putting new parts in a transmission won’t make it work if you condemn the wrong part. Good luck!

Fluid don’t smell burned at all which was first thing I looked at too. Fluid don’t look to bad at all either not new but definitely not burnt. It don’t slip at all either. It will go in all gears just fine manually except I feel like even when I drop to first it starts in second. The rpms don’t ever surge or raise like its slipping.

I mean there’s really only couple possibilities right? Either faulty wiring harness in pan or bad solenoids?

I found this. If u got a sec scroll down to number 12 and tell me if u think that’s the problem? answer to any 4l60e trouble | GMT400 - The Ultimate 88-98 GM Truck Forum

Very well could be. USUALLY! A failed solenoid will set a code. For the price of them I would put a set in and the 3-2 coast down solenoid while in there and se what happens. If I was diagnosing this I could see it the PCM is commanding the solenoids and if it is you could pin point a bad solenoid with a resistance (ohms) test to confirm. Good luck. Let us know what you find.

I’m sorry but what is PCM and where is it located? Does it stand for pressure control module?
