heater core 98blzr
Welcome Ron, I've done PLENTY of these, it's not hard at all to me..in fact it's my favorite job, but MANY on this forum will tell you otherwise. You do have to remove the entire dash, andyou're supposed to remove the right front fender too, but you don't have to. The job paysabout 11 hours to do if that gives you any kind of idea. You DO NOT have to recover, evacuate and recharge the A/C. If you decide to tackle it post-up and we'll get ya pointed in the right direction. What's your concern? no heat? or leaking? If it's no heat...try back-flushing the core first it often restores heater performance at least for a while...if it's leaking...you'll have to replace it of course.
THANX FOR THE INFO. I GOT THE BLAZER ON FEB.5TH FROM A LOCAL DEALER WHO SAID HE GOT IT FROM AUCTION, SO I'M NOT SURPRIZED IT NEEDS SOMETHING THIS SOON. I NOTICED WHEN I BOUGHT IT THAT IT LOOKED LIKE SOME STOP LEAK WAS IN THE RADIATOR, SO I'M SURE IT WAS PRE-EXISTING. OH WELL, IT'S MY 4TH 4.3, I LOVE THOSE MOTORS, AND THIS BLAZER. INSPITE OF THE REPAIR, IT'S STILL CHEAPER THAN CAR PAYMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!
