Help me please?
'97 Blazer 4x4 4.3L with 242K miles. After getting off the freeway, I turned onto one of the side streets and everything was working fine until I hear a loud clicking noise that gradually gets louder, then the engine cut off while the car was moving. Now when I go to turn the key in the on position everything works as it should. Battery is good, alternator is good, and I can hear the fuel pump engage. And the fuel filter is new. Full of oil as well. But when I go to turn the engine on I get a loud grinding noise. Someone told me a possibility is that the starter tried to engage while it was running and it locked to the flywheel. Another person told me something internal happened that caused the engine to get seized up. Help?
Well we can all sit here and speculate what it might be......but I would try putting a pipe wrench on the crank pulley and see if it turns over by hand!!!! If it will then next I would pull the starter out, if it did engage while it was running it will be obvious when u pull the starter out
