got it in the shop. tore most of it apart. it apears that work has been done on this before. itsa 99 4.3 vortec. atleast down to intake man. it was leaking water into the #1 cyl. still need to take head off make sure piston is good. looks like gasket was just a bad install, maybe not clean up mlike it should have been. I have a lot of interest in this for 2 reasons -got the blazer for my 18 yr old daughter but have also seen alot of potential for my galfriends jeep. if time permits will dig in more tomorrow and check on that cylinder.

 

what is the tube that screws into top front of intake and runs back and connects toexhaust manifold? it appears to be alum.
