Default Hot Air and A/C Issue ...

Hello Guys,

Well, im from Chile and some time ago (like 3 months) i introduced myself and my wife's Blazer 1999 4.3 (2 door).

She already ordered from USA the Rough Country 2,5" lift and contacted a local shop so they will do the labor and will add 2" body lift. She ordered new wheels and tires from USA too and some spacers to make the truck a little wider.

Now, internally, the truck is very good and well maintained, but nor A/C nor HOT AIR is working. If you turn on the heat, just cold air is coming, the flow is strong and everything, but not hot as desire, A/C is zero too.

Any tips to see what is really needed to fix this ?

thanks !!!

Does it have enough coolant in the radiator? Does the A/C compressor run when the A/C is on, and when the controls are set to defrost? Is there any hissing from behind the heater controls?

Coolant is checked on weekly basis and is OK.

Compressor is not working (i hope thats the only issue with AC)

Hissing ?, no ... nothing.

AC Compressor participate on HOT AIR ?, not right ?

There is probably a leak in the A/C system somewhere. There is a pressure switch in the system that will prevent the A/C compressor from turning on due to low pressure.

Does the engine come up to about 200F or 90C? Do the heater hoses get hot where they go through the firewall? Could be an issue with the engine thermostat.
