Default How much oil goes in a 1985 K5 Blazer 350?

I have a 1985 Blazer K5 with a 350. It has the wrong dipstick in it. I just changed the oil and added 6 quarts of oil. But the oil level is not on the dipstick yet. How much oil does this motor need?
Thanks,
Clayton

If it has the original oil pan, then it takes 5 qts. If it has a larger oil pan then it may take more. If you don't put enough oil in it, the oil pump will have problems circulating it. But at the same time, if you put too much oil in it, you risk blowing out seals and causing leaks everywhere.
