I sprayed the ether in it, it still didnt start, but when i had it running and it went to die out i sprayed it and it backfired, and black smoke came out of the intake and ran for another few seconds...
Please tell me this isnt a bad sign.
But the check engine light works. its on when i turn the key, no codes are showing though
Itll start sometimes, and sometimes it wont, always cranks, just doesnt start completly, sometimes itll start to fire a little than continue not to completly turn over. it will go 300 feet and die, or 15 miles and die, or sometimes go 30miles and never die at all. Its such a inconsistent problem.

 

Also, i know the 4x4 runs using a vacuum system. I have slight problems with the 4wheel, sometimes it will engage, and sometimes it wont. 4lo always engages, and auto always does, but 4hi is a hit or miss
Should that steer me more towards the vacuum system? or is that completely unrelated?

 

But i am currently 200 miles away from the blazer
(had to leave it, couldnt lose my job over a car)
so bear with me on the pressure & leak down numbers, i'm having somebody check that for me asap
