So I originally thought I had an issue with a u joint, well in park or neutral when I give it some gas I hear a bad grinding sound coming from the engine bay. I was recently in an accident and can't really crawl around to find what it is. There is also a big change in the exhaust tone when I give it gas not the normal exhaust note but it sounds like a missfire almost. It has no check engine light. The ac was not on and it does it reguardless if it is or not. I also have a faint whining sound as well. My suspicion is a bad PS pump bearing....at least I hope lol. Anyone else have a similar issue, seems to be these things are problematic in many aspects, but I'd like to fix the issues. This sound almost imanates out of the exhaust as well. Was planning on doing the intake manifold gasket and plenum but I hope its not a rod or main bearing.
