kill me now, all three fluids draining like a vein
man i just fixed my 97 blazer w/ an electrical parasitic drain, ignition switch horror, starting/stalling 1 month +- long nightmare... and within minutes of changing the oil /filter myself i notice an oil leak from what looks like the filter; ok...
the oil leak is getting a little silly NOW...almost 3 quarts gone in driveway... 2 days...but only if running
take to jiffylube they replace oil and filter...
Upon leaving the jiffylube the oil leak returns (never left) and now, the top transmission coolant line is dripping trans fluid at the radiator like it was a jugular vein..
returning to jiffylube , hoping they did something on accident, the jiffy lube manager took me under the floor and gave me a worms eye view of the fluids draining from my vehicle... besides the oil, & tranny line, he wants to know if i have radiator issues or a stuck therm cause coolant is also blowing out of the radiator over flow bucket,...all the 3 different fluids are mixed and slimy almost all the way to the rear bumper...
i got the top coolant line no problem, done that already &U^%...i can probably handle changing the thermostat..done that already ^&$#^. but i do not even know what the part is called where the oil is coming out of...
two "round (ish)" gold metal looking lines that connect into one large one at the engine directly above the oil filter...
any ideas how all three seem to be connected?? jesus... i had the truck towed and wonder if for whatever reason could the torque of the old fashion tow flex the engine, trans or radiator enough to flex them and ruin a few seals within days. ?? i know its a longshot but....
thansk
good times... kill me now.

Does your truck have the remote oil filter?
I have a 99 with that. The tubes go to the filter mount and the other end go to the bottom of the engine where the filter would have been mounted if they'd used this block in a car. The gasket between the tube assembly and the block go bad, and the oil pishes out on the ground, but only when the engine is running. I had this last March, truck kept losing oil but there was never a puddle underneath... that's cos when you shut the engine it doesn't leak, but I left a trail of oil for miles.
Or it could be an oil cooler, which I would think should mount the same way. Does the thing look like this?

Yup, the remote oil lines on this style trucks does seem to be prone to leaking as they get old. Mine have been replaced in the last year or so because they were leaking badly.

i looked at the coolant line that was dripping trans fluid from the radiator faster than i could put it in...took apart and reinserted it and it seemed to stop the leak? duh? a loose part could leak????? but i am stunned that one day no leak next pour? why not a week of thats getting bigger~noooooooo! not on a blazer...
next im tackling the oil leak. @shalom hard to tell if that is the same part from this angle i only saw it for a second under the car at the jubelube... is the top left of your photo the piece i woulds see under the car directly above the filter?
remote oil filter ? i will check that one hundred things at a time k.... thanks
oh is the replacement of this item as time consuming as i would assume? looks like a nightmare the way the elves built these cars...
