Location, and how many Freeze plugs on 2002?
From what I've read about older models with the 4.3 it seems that there are 2 per side.. .. I backed the old dear up today so i could crawl under and check the drip drip drip of coolant/water and found... a freeze plug on the ground.. drivers side.. so.. how many do I need to track down?? And is there any way to replace the "one behind the motor mount" (if that's what it is) without removing the engine.. possibly jack up the motor.. remove mount.. insert plug.. replace mount lower engine..? Or easier..i hope..

In a 2002, there are only 4; 2 per side.
You can jack up the motor, remove the motor mount completely and then replace the plug. It isn't fun though.

Yeah.. I kinda figured that.. It has been leaking antifreeze due to waterpump seals and weep hole.. so ive been topping it with water and apparently it got below the freeze point of the mixture.. replaced the waterpump which was original anyway.. Radiator was frozen.. but didnt crack.. only 1/2 full!! (lucked out on that one).. so it's a work in progress getting it back in running order.. motor starts and runs.. no water in oil or oil in water.. radiator doessnt gurgle.. i think i dodged a major bullet..
