Default loss of power after warms up

i noticed a few weeks ago my blazer was getting progressively more gutless. now its too the point where i can only go about 45 mph. when i first start it in the morning it seems fine for about the first minute i drive, then it warms up and loses power. the more gas i give it, the more it bogs down. also sounds kind of odd like a throaty sound coming from the intake. not missing, idles pretty smooth. my ses light was on for a while, but after disconnecting the battery, the ses light has not come back on. just changed oil, ran seafoam through gas and the oil before i changed it. also replaced air filter. seems to run fine if im barely on the pedal, but as soon as i try to give it gas it just gets worse. amost seems to me like a sensor problem and its running way lean, but i would think the ses light would come right back on if that was the case.
any help is greatly appreciated!

I did some more research and it sounds like this could be my catalytic converter? It would make sense because for a while I had bad plug wires and was probably getting unburned fuel in the exhaust. Does it sound like I'm on the right track? Is there any way to confirm this? Also if that is the problem, can I temporarily replace it with a piece of exhaust flex tubing?
