lower intake manifold??
I have a 2000 blazer that i think i blew the lower intake manifold gasket in. I pulled into school and there was a cloud of white smoke surrounding my car coming from under the hood. it drives fine and everything but leaks coolant. i stopped driving it and its sitting at my house now. do you think is my problem? and if it is some guy told me that it would be a waste of money because it would destroy bearings or something like that in the engine? but no one else told me it would do any harm.
It depends on how far you have driven and if the coolant has gotten into the oil. Lets say you have coolant in the oil, if you only drove a short distence you might be ok. Is the oil the color of a milkshake? If so it may be to late. Lets say the coolant is leeking to the outside, put a new gasket in and you are good to go. Ok lets back up a little, if your oil looks like a milkshake then you may want to pull the engine and replace bearings and all the gaskets.....basically do a low budget rebuild.
Good luck
