Default maintenence codes p0171 and p0174

Stalling out when starting on occasion. Not all the time. Any ideas?

Read the diagnostic procedures for both these codes in the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) section and then get back with us for more help, if needed.

think i found problem. PCV valve wasn't even plugged in, just dangling there. Put new valve in and seems to be OK.

This vehicle was just bought a couple of weeks ago so i have no idea how long it has been like that. Will this cause any damage to anything else with it running around like that?

The system maintenence light is still on. Is that common? Guess i should put it back on the computer.

If the PCV valve was pulling in outside air unseen by the MAF sensor, it could cause the lean codes.
