MSD cap/rotor, wires any better?

'91 S10 Blazer, 4.3, 2WD, completely stock drivetrain.
It's about time to do the standard tune up stuff on the truck again (cap, rotor, wires, plugs, etc..), and I noticed that I can get the MSD cap and rotor for about $23 from the local Autozone, vs about $15 for the Duralast stuff, and I think the Delco stuff will end up being about the same price as the MSD after shipping (the couple dealers I called wanted $30+ for the pair, and going through acdelco.com will end up being around $20).
Is there really any real advantage to going with the MSD stuff over the basics? I could care less about having the performance image or being able to say I have the "good stuff" in there, I'm just wondering if there's any performance or durability advantage.
Same with the wires...on a stock engine, is there really any point to going with something like the 8mm or 8.5mm MSD, Mallory, Jacobs, or any of the other "high performance" wires?

Advance Auto carries the Delco cap and rotor now - I'd go with them over either Duralast or MSD. On these engines, OEM is best for plugs/cap/rotor.
For wires, I use Autolite Professional (not standard) and they perform and hold up as well as the Delcos. And are a bit cheaper, too.

I don't recall ever seeing an Advance around here (Phoenix area), and according to their website, there's not a single store in the entire state of Arizona.

Yep, same here, I live in the Phoenix area and once searched for it and never found one. Had to go to the dealer for the cap and rotor.
