i have a 1998 blazer 4x4 4dr 4.3 with 185,615 miles. i was on my way to work one night aronud 9:45pm and driving up a slight hill i noticed i lost power going up the hill and at the top it just died my lights were still on and i coasted down the hill to a parking lot. This weekend my friend which is a GM mech for Crest Caddilac in Franklin, Tn came over pulled some plug told me to turn the key and said i have no spark so i replaced with new a coil pack $35, ignition control moduel $79, and i still have no spark sould it be my distributer cap or rotor button, he said it could be a bad wire that has corroded. i have a full tank of which i bought at a BP in murfreesboro 36 dollars to fill up . i have no clue so if you guys can help it would be greatly appresiated. this is so frusterating to me...

 

sounds like what happened to my girlfriends honda, she went up a hill and it died, but lights and radio worked, it was her rotor and distributer i think

 

Have you checked all of your fuses? Have you ohm'd out the spark plug wires to make sure that they are properly conducting the spark to the cylinders (this includes the coil wire)?
