Working on a '87 blazer with 5.8L 350 and a 700r4 transmission. The issue that I am having is I CAN NOT! get the Trans to shift out of first, it does park, neutral, reverse, and first just fine. Checked the TV cable and it seems to be adjusted properly, drained the fluid and changed the filter, it's filled properly, and it still won't shift past first. Does anyone have any ideas what to try now?

Is the vacuum line from the back of the tranny up to the intake or carb hooked up or plugged?

 

Or the vacuum modulator on the tranny faulty
